A 4.69-mile loop hike on the King Canyon Loop trail in EBMUD watershed lands - rolling oak grasslands, shaded creek crossings, and big East Bay ridge views. A solid intro to East Bay backcountry hiking without leaving the bridge tolls behind.

Temescal Regional Recreation Area, Oakland CA
Wilderness Queers is throwing our first summer games at Lake Temescal. Bring a picnic potluck dish. You can play on a team, get sorted into one day-of, or just hang out as audience and cheer everyone on. Expect an afternoon of running, laughing, and trying not to fall on your face during the three-legged race.

Wilderness Queers is meeting up to join a public stargazing night hosted by the Mount Diablo Astronomical Society. This is a free event MDAS runs for anyone - we're rolling up as a group so we have folks to enjoy it with.

Gerbode Valley Loop Hike
Tennessee Valley Trailhead, Mill Valley CA
Wilderness Queers is heading out to the Marin Headlands for a 5.3-mile loop through Gerbode Valley, one of the wilder, quieter pockets of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The trail starts and ends at Tennessee Valley and climbs out through coastal grassland ridges before looping back down.
